August 2020 - Trial Started in New Zealand Hospital of MEG Audit Tools

HealthIT Consulting announce the trial of the MEG Audit and Quality Improvement Product at a New Zealand DHB and . This is the first implementation in New Zealand.

The Infection Prevention and Control team (IP&C) will trial audits such as environmental, PPE and kitchen. These audits are currently carried out manually using paper. For example, the IP&C’s current environmental audit is currently performed using a paper form which is filled out on the ward, then entered into the current system back in the office. The report is then sent to the required staff to follow up on the recommendations from the audit findings. This is time-consuming and there isn’t a closed-loop of action and follow up as the monitoring of the audit findings is also manual.
